Nikola Bozhinov

Hi, I’m Nikola Bozhinov, an e-learning developer from Bulgaria. During the day I build courses and the tools that make them; after that I follow whatever is interesting: a physics simulation, a Japanese grammar point, a brush and a bottle of ink, a melody that needs words.

This site is my field notebook. Expect Python plots, strange attractors, maps from mountain walks, drawings, and songs I write with AI. It is written in three languages because the people I want to talk to live in three countries.

What I do

Code

Python for data and little experiments, vanilla JavaScript for the web, and whatever a project needs. Most of it is on GitHub and on the projects page.

Learning design

Interactive lessons, assessments and the pipelines behind them. I care a lot about how things are explained.

Japanese

Studying every day. I build my own tools for it: a trainer, a reader for song lyrics, flashcards.

Drawing and music

Digital sketches, sumi-e ink, and songs made with Suno. See the drawings and songs pages.

A short timeline

  1. Writing this notebook
Eleventy, three languages, three designs to choose from.
  2. AI songs and datasets
First songs with Suno, a Bulgarian TTS dataset, a reader for Japanese lyrics.
  3. Ink
Started sumi-e. One breath, one stroke.
  4. First blog
Jekyll, the Lorenz attractor and a sudoku generator. It never really launched.
  5. E-learning
Years of courses, platforms and the quiet joy of a lesson that finally makes sense.

Now

Say hello

The fastest way is Bluesky. Code lives on GitHub, models and datasets on Hugging Face and Kaggle. Email works too: nikolaobozhinov@gmail.com.
